Visits with the Grandkids !

We had a wonderful visit from Andrea and her girls! Joe's girls got to play with their Tanner cousins several times. Our first adventure together was Heritage Park at the "This is the Place Monument" up by Hogel Zoo.

We all had a terrific time! The picture above is in Brigham Young's house. All the employees at the Heritage Park were dressed up in period costumes, and played their parts really well. The petting zoo was a big hit with all the kids!

We enjoyed the Indian Settlement. Here's a picture of a squaw waiting for her brave to come home from hunting.

I put this picture in to show you the threatening clouds. Before we left the Indian settlement, we got dumped on badly! It was raining cats and dogs, and the little girls were crying big cow tears because they didn't get to ride the train, which was filled with all the visitors who wanted to escape the rain, and get to the parking lot fast.

We enjoyed a visit to the Open House of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple with Andrea and her girls. When we asked them what part they liked best, Zoe said she liked the place where the brides got dressed and ready to get married. Rylee said that she liked the reception area where they gave her a cookie!

It was a really good day/week!
