A NEW ADVENTURE IN THE SNOW

We've had some nice snow here in Utah this past month.

I love how snow sticks to every small twig. It's surely a winter wonderland. We took a little twenty minute trip up into American Fork Canyon, and were astounded at the beauty of winter.
Last year, our good friend Charlyn Anderson mentioned that they were going to buy some gear, and try out snow-shoeing. That sounded like something that we might want to try.

We decided to give each other snow shoes and and warm snow jackets for Christmas this year.

We found this great path, going up the canyon, with a lovely river to the side. It was so quiet. Very few cars go up into the canyon this time of year. We couldn't get any phone reception there with behemoth mountains on either side of us. What peace, and beauty!

We found that it was a bit of a challenge to take a picture, and push the button on the camera with big, bulky gloves on -- but we managed. : )

We had some fun, and got a lot of exercise our aging bodies aren't used to.

We are so grateful that we have each other to share these fun adventures with! It's a good life!

Who wants to just sit in front of a TV when you can be outside, exploring new adventures! We hope to discover all the beauties this area of the world has for us -- spring, summer, fall OR winter!
