It seems impossible that we've been home for over a month! It was a wonderful year! We had such a good time! On Sunday, the 31st of July we gave a report of our China experience in Church. We each took about 15 minutes to explain the great impact that working in China had on our lives. I'm sure that we were totally inept, and unable to explain the impact our China experience had on us. We're so grateful that we decided to go.
On July 5th, we left China and traveled to Salt Lake City, via Beijing and San Francisco. We feared that the last leg of our trip would leave late, and delay our arrival, but we were only about ten minutes behind schedule. Joe and his sweet little Gracie met us there and returned us to our home in American Fork.
With less than two weeks of Utah under our belts, on July 17th we joined Andrea (our oldest) and her family at Klamath Falls, Oregon. From there we visited Crater Lake National Park on our way to the Pacific Coast at Bandon, Oregon. We were amazed at the snow that was still on the ground at Crater Lake!! It was raining petty hard and kept us from seeing the crater as well we would have liked. We will surely have to return on some future, sunny occasion.
The main objective of this trip was the Pacific Coast area around Bandon, Oregon.
Andrea found us a lovely rental home on the beach that we enjoyed with them for four days. The weather was very nice! We fell in love with this wonderful place on the ocean! See for yourself!

The town was picturesque and homey.
The sea food was great and we had a wonderful time with our little gang of Tanner grandkids!
At low-tide, we explored, and discovered a wonderful world of star fish, sea birds, rocky cliffs, drift-wood and sandy beaches that proved very delightful!
We enjoyed relaxing on the beach.
Ryck is the best sand castle builder in the family!
It was a wonderful time to spend with our favorite Tanners.
