We had a nice snowstorm last night and this morning it was nice and sunny so we decided to head up American Fork Canyon and get in a little snowshoeing in. We have not had too much snow this winter season so this is our first snowshoeing trip this winter. When we arrived at the trail, it had about a foot of new snow that hadn't been disturbed by any other snowshoers or cross country skiers. It was not cold and the new snow was still resting on the limbs of the tress. We often had large clumps of snow fall on us from the trees as we hiked.
