We stayed at the Drifter's Lodge for the week-end. It was located right up from the river. The view was magnificent, looking down on the Kenai River.
We had the up-stairs rooms. It was a really good choice -- such pretty flowers! They provided breakfast, and comfortable beds.
Our first adventure at Cooper's Landing was a fishing trip with Alex. After we hooked them, he netted them and posed with us before we threw these big RED salmon back into the river. As you can see, they're nearly ready to spawn, and are no good for eating. Dang!

This was a Dolly Vardin that Dave caught. We kept this one and ate him along with the salmon that he caught on our other fishing trip. It was okay, but the salmon was much better. It was a great adventure! Really fun!
