Today was our first day of church here in Jinan. We actually held the meeting in our apartment. There were twelve of us. We’re all ESL teachers. It’s a nice bunch of people. We visited, and the couple that has been here three years gave us some encouragement and even a couple ideas for our classes.
We had a “linger-longer” after our meeting. It was a good time. Since we all shared in the food prep, and we used paper plates, it wasn’t any work at all. Just a good time.
Tomorrow morning marks the beginning of our ESL teaching experience. I must admit – I’m really nervous. Dave will do fine. He has his projector, and confidence, and mature, distinguished good-looks. I’m just scared! More to come next time on how the teaching is going. . . . . Stay tuned!
