The main reason for going to Hong Kong at this time was to meet with the administrators of the BYU English Teachers Program, and to share teaching stratigies with the other teachers. We were all given two minutes to share our most exciting and helpful teaching ideas.
Sue talked about "speed dating" as a way to get the students to talk to each other in English. Dave shared an internet site that allowed you to create the "Jeopardy" game with English Questions for the students.
It was fun to meet up with our friends and see how they had been doing even if we didn't get too many new or great ideas. For being English Teachers, many of them can't write directions for new ideas very well.
